    Hello darkness my old friend…
These are something you don’t see every day! They can roll with a grunge or goth vibe, but also be very elegant depending on how you style the rest of your look. I choose 1ct per ear (2cttw) in most of my studs, and that’s a good size here, too. I like my studs to have some presence, though, so folks who prefer a bit daintier look (or for second/third piercings) might prefer the smaller ones.I’m not entirely sure these stones haven’t been gas-treated to intensify the black, because it’s INKY. It’s a good, dark look. I’m not mad if it has been, though, because at the price it’s fine, and a great many stones are treated in some way or another. Moissanite is a lab stone to begin with, so it’s not like I can get all precious about unnatural enhancements when that’s what the literal entire stone is made of. If you’re not familiar, hit the goog, but it’s a synthetic stone that’s very close to diamond – NOT synthetic or lab diamond, which is exactly what it says it is, diamond from a lab instead of dirt – almost as hard, far more refractive (not really an issue here but for lighter stones it’s quite relevant), more ethical and environmentally responsible, and a fraction of the cost. I own a lot of it in various colors and think it’s a great lightweight investment – as in not costume, so it’s going to cost a bit, but not nearly the level of investment where I’m filing an insurance claim if an earring falls out. These are real moissanite, confirmed via thermo pen testing. (I suppose they could be diamonds because I can’t see the refraction to confirm that they’re not, but if they are… 10 more pairs, please, stat.) The stones are BOTH certified, which is relevant and part of what’s pushing these to the 5-star mark. Many “certified” earrings (or other pieces) come with one certificate, but that’s not really how it works. GRA certifies a stone, as in one stone, so if you’ve got one cert, you’ve got one certified stone. Again, that is surprisingly common. I personally don’t care but I also don’t care about the certification one way or the other, either – I’ll trust the physical measurements over a card (that can be faked, just like anything else in the world) all day every day. All that said, though, sending both certs is a great sign that you’re getting exactly what you ordered and that a business is doing good, conscientious work. (I have not been able to match the numbers as I usually might on prong-set gems but the numbers are just too hard to see because of the color. I have zero reason to be suspicious.)The posts and backs are stamped 925 and nothing reacts to a magnet. If I had to complain, I’d say I’d rather this be oxidized sterling (which isn’t technically oxidized but that’s just the word most people understand to mean “turn it black”) than black plated, simply because plate will wear and on a silver piece with black plating that wear is going to show. You did NOT hear me say this, but depending on where you’ve got the problem, a little black sharpie or good, dense black nail polish can be used to extend the life of your piece when that does start happening. To that extent, black is better than, say, yellow gold in terms of ability to mask wear patterns. At $50, though, these are a good enough price that I wouldn’t mind handing them off to a local artist/jeweler (for re-use/recycling) and getting another pair. That’s within the range of about what I’d expect to pay for a pair of white stones in gold plated sterling without certification, much less fancy colors with the certs.

    They’re Growing On Me
I ordered the black version of these moissanite earrings by mistake and attempted to cancel the order, but they arrived anyway. While I think black moissanite doesn’t properly showcase moissanite’s exceptional refractive qualities, for those who dig the high-tech, darkly shiny Darth Vaderish appearance these will happily satisfy! The mountings and butterfly backs are plated in a shiny black. The plating is even, no spots were missed in the process. The finish is smooth and comfortable in the ear. The butterfly backs hold the earrings securely. The posts might be a bit long for sleeping in.While I still prefer clear moissanite, I’m growing to like the understated sparkle of these earrings. They look a lot like highly refractive hematite. I can see them together with both a formal and casual black outfit. If super shiny black moissanite is your joy, these will not disappoint!

    Beautiful Earring Studs.
I ordered the Black Moissanite Stud Earrings in Sterling Silver color VVS1 and I must admit that the picture does not really show their beauty. The earring is in the stud style and while it is smaller, it is still the perfect size to wear in my second pierced earring hole on both my ears. The black moissanite stone sparkles when light reflects on it, and it is not a clear stone it sparkles. The way it is made, no matter which necklace I have that is black, coordinated well with is small stud earring. The earring is easy to put on and take off; and will be appropriate for any occasion day or night. I rate this a 5 out of 5.

    Love
These earrings are perfect for any occasion. They are not too big but noticeable. I have never worn black studs, and these are very nice and makes me look more different since I am a gold jewelry person. I recommend these for anyone looking for something small and different to add to their collection.

    Interesting, But Hurt My Ears
I wanted to like these. They are interesting looking and quite striking.I like the length of the posts. These are not heavy and do feel a little cheap.I was really disappointed that they hurt my ears. I have very sensitive ears. They don’t like cheap earrings. So I was disappointed when my ears started hurting after a couple of hours.

    Moissanite with a Sheen Finish
This is a rare instance where the earrings look better in photos than in person. I was excited to receive these since I’ve never seen black moissanite and the center stones are confirmed to be moissanite with a basic tester. The look of the moissanite is more of a mirror-like gunmetal color. It looks almost like a fake sheen. I was expecting more of a true black color as shown. Overall, I still find them unique and interesting and Kuololit packed them well with a polishing cloth, 2 GRA reports and cards, and a pink box.

    Very unique
These earrings are beautiful, I haven’t seen a design like this before.

    Unique Black Moissanite
These black moissanite studs are really eye catching and look edgy and cool. As a woman, I worried they might look tough or too masculine in person but I don’t think they do. They are large enough to be seen but still small enough that you could wear two on one side (as pictured). I tested the stones and they tested positively as moissanite.
